Discovering my true calling didn't happen for me until I reached my fourth decade of life. While that might seem like a long time to some, when you put it in context with my journey it’s well timed. I married my high school sweetheart, who I’ve literally grown up with (we were on the same t-ball team at 9 years old) and together have built a life that I am madly in love with. 

We have three amazing kids who each have their own unique personalities, not the least of which is competitiveness. All three are athletic and play numerous sports year round. My husband is a farmer and together we own, Meyer Ranch and Property Maintenance. While my husband is definitely CEO and the hardest worker of us all, it’s still a family business, with all 5 of us helping to keep the farm running smoothly.  

My ‘day’ job is Head of Solutions Architecture at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focused on new to AWS customers. I lead a team of solutions architects who design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions for small and medium businesses and enterprise customers across various industries and markets. 

As you can probably see, between raising a family, managing a full-time career and playing part-time farmer didn’t leave a lot of space for anything else. Which I am 100% OK with. I was focused on the absolute right things at the right times.  But as my kids get older and don’t depend on me as much, it has given me more time to explore my passions. I have always been obsessed with pictures. Capturing life’s moments or images that truly captured someone’s personality. It wasn’t until recently that I picked up my camera and began learning the art and science of photography.  It felt like something clicked into place for me. I have loved learning photography and bringing images to life for others.  I’m looking forward to working with you and capturing YOU!

My approach to photography sessions is laid-back and fun. My main focus is to capture the love and connection between you and your family members. I strive to create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere where everyone can be themselves, resulting in authentic, heartwarming images. And don't worry, dads - you'll have a great time at these sessions too!
